bothy life

Not only did we miss the rain and the wind.

We managed to enjoy the delights of bothy life with not a midgie in sight.

Made some new friends and met some old friends.

The delights of mountain life ...

Windy Pembroke

Well, as Catrin and Di were getting lost trying to find routes;

getting lost on routes;

and getting sandbagged on the wrong route ...

Derek was doing this ...

Respect.

big blue skies

Cracking afternoon in Coire an t-Sneachda today.

We opted for No blue skies, a popular winter route, but equally good in summer.

A relatively busy corrie today (note:  its all relative you know) but probably no where near as busy as it will be for me next week.

If I can squeeze one more cragging day in before heading south, I will be very happy.

hijacked

I feel as Di Gilbert Mountaineering has been completely hijacked by Skimo Scotland

This morning, I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Mr Fred MacAulay as part of the BBC Radio Scotland MacAulay and Co programme, wearing my Skimo Scotland hat.

Apologies for those of you are wanting to read about dare and doo, dangling from the end of a rope - normal service will resume very soon :)

its all about the colours you know

I love my sponsors.

Because I get to wear some really cool bright clothes.  Yesterday, I looked like a pink ball of fun.

Unlike Derek, who, once again, wore his dullest clothes just to annoy me!

gold post boxes

I could talk about getting blown up Ullapool Hill whilst working on the MCofS Navigation course on Saturday or pulling pebbles on Sunday.

But I won't.

Today, we got a Gold Post Box.
